Meet the clinician
I’m Rebecca Somarriba, M.S., CCC-SLP, a certified Speech-Language Pathologist accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). I am passionate about helping children build meaningful communication skills through individualized, neurodiversity-affirming care that respects each child’s unique strengths, personality, and way of experiencing the world. Whether supporting speech sound development, language growth, or feeding skills, I use evidence-based practices tailored to each child’s needs to help them move from point A to point B—growing into confident, functional communicators at their own pace.
My clinical experience includes providing speech and language services in private practice and clinic settings, with a primary focus on preschool-aged children and medically complex children in a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) setting. In these roles, I developed individualized therapy plans and collaborated closely with families and interdisciplinary care teams to support each child’s progress in a holistic, meaningful way. During my graduate training, I also gained specialized experience in neuroprotective feeding strategies for pre-term and newborn infants, oral motor development, and pediatric speech and language intervention across a variety of diagnoses and clinical environments.
My therapy style is rooted in play-based, family-centered care and guided by the belief that children learn best when they feel connected, supported, and understood. I strive to create engaging, positive therapy experiences while empowering families with practical strategies they can carry into everyday life. At A2B Speech, I am committed to partnering with families every step of the way to nurture confident, joyful communication and celebrate each child’s unique journey.
